Technology can be used on a basic level to market a business every day. The technology can come in the forms of a website and social media apps such as Instagram and Twitter. However, technology can be utilized in a much higher and appealing way to your target audience. There are all kinds of software tools available, from those that can measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies, to apps that can help with brand design. Technology has proven ways to strategize much deeper ideas with marketing than what is seen on the surface like social media shoutouts and collaborations.

Technology tools such as the Internet, social media, mobile phones, and customer relationship management systems greatly affect marketing. Social media can help businesses grow while using mobile phones to directly contact customers can create relationships. Furthermore, the Internet strengthens the effectiveness of organizations, allows people to learn about one another, and greatly affects the way companies communicate with customers. An example of this is LinkedIn -- companies can connect with students and even invite them to follow their page or attend a business session. We will be further discussing the specific attributes of each technology tool.

Websites allow a face-paced business environment for employees to interact with clients quickly and clearly. Websites allow customers to find answers to their questions in a manner of no time. Websites allow businesses to show their audience all they have to offer, which can be good and bad. If the website is put to good use, then most customers would be satisfied and maybe even intrigued. In addition, when customers use the website to interact with a business, the business benefits because better communication with website usage creates a stronger public image.

Other than customer communication, cybersecurity is another aspect that technology enforces - Most businesses are pretty guarded to security threats by using cybersecurity tactics such as passwords and software background checks to validate users. These tactics can be used to protect financial and marketing data, confidential marketing executive decisions, and other proprietary information. By having software checks and passwords, a business can ensure less chance of its forthcoming projects to be leaked out.

Technology can also help businesses understand important aspects of marketing such as cash flow needs and resources such as time and physical space. Technology that interferes with managing warehouse inventory lets the business executive understand how best to manage to update to keep up with the demand.

Also, mixing in with the current pandemic situation, proper technology allows businesses to save time and money by holding meetings on the Internet with software platforms such as Zoom and Google Meet, instead of meeting at headquarters. This can save time to discuss marketing options and present customer reactions to current marketing projects.

However, technology strategic plans can also be ineffective because of the wide range of technology options, the goals of marketing can lose focus and prioritization. This can end up with a waste of money and opportunities.

Through the use of the Internet, consumers have access to critical data from stock markets and company websites. With just a click of a button, consumers can gain insights about businesses and their products and/or services. Technology does not just benefit the company but also the consumers, therefore, it strengthens the overall buyer and seller relationship. Technology plays a major role in the success of marketing for businesses.
