Girls For Business is excited to present the 2023 Girls For Business Summer Conference, GFB's third annual conference!

⁣⁣The event will be held this Sunday, August 20th from 12 PM - 5 PM ET (9 AM - 2 PM PT).

GFB CON features a day of panels, workshops, and competition to immerse middle and high school girls in the business world! The conference will feature many prizes, scholarships, and raffles throughout the day.

Our events feature a Small Business Fair, insights into College Applications and Student Life in University, and we'll teach you how to Build Your Passion Project. Moreover, our Business Pitch Competition* takes place 2-3 PM EDT (11-12 PM PDT) -- competitors will compete in closed rounds and winners will take home cash prizes of $50!

GFB CON Schedule

Opening Session (11:45-12 PM ET / 8:45-9 AM PT): Opening Words, Raffles, Conference Openers

[Workshop] Small Business Fair (12-12:45 PM ET / 9-9:45 AM PT): Through this interactive panel, attendees will learn how three business owners each built a unique business platform, from the ideation stage to the scaling process. Our panelists -- a high school founder, a boutique owner, and a clothing brand owner -- will speak upon their shared entrepreneurial passion.

[Panel] Exploring Student Life in University (1-1:45 PM ET / 10-10:45 AM PT): Hear from students studying at top business schools around the country. These panelists will share their experiences studying business in undergrad and discuss involvement in student clubs, organizations, and activities on campus! ⁣

[Competition] Business Pitch Competition (2-3 PM ET / 11-12 PM PT): Open to all middle and high school girls, the Business Pitch Competition consist of a 15 minute preparation period (where competitors are given a prompt live on Zoom), followed by a 2-3 minute business proposal from the competitor. Competitors may sign up individually or in teams of 2 or 3. Top competition winners will receive cash scholarships!

[Workshop] How to Build a Passion Project (3-3:45 PM ET / 12-12:45 PM PT): Have you ever wanted to start your own small business or lead a non-profit? Turn those dreams into a reality as our panelists walk you through the steps on how to create a passion project at any age! ⁣⁣

[Panel] Pursuing Business in High School (4-4:45 PM ET / 1-1:45 PM PT): Our panel will share how they sought out or created their own opportunities for business exploration in high school. Attendees will also hear admission advice from seasoned university students. The panelists will share their own college application experiences and guide the audience through a series of common admission prompts! ⁣⁣ ⁣

Closing Session (5:00-5:20 PM ET / 2:00-2:20 PM PT): Final Words, Raffles, Senior Sendoffs

Attendees are welcome to attend any sessions they so choose throughout the day. All events will be held through the same zoom (info below). However, we encourage attendees to participate throughout the day's activities! The most engaged conference participants will receive a cash scholarship: award winners will be announced at the closing session at 5 PM ET.
